We are currently seeking a
**Junior Environmental Scientist/Engineer** to join our highly respected client's growing Sydney office. You will be working on contaminated land assessment projects, and involved from beginning to end.

Reporting directly to a Project Manager, you will assist in undertaking field investigations, supporting risk assessments, site management plans and remedial works for a diverse range of clients and project scopes. You will be offered training and mentoring to develop and progress your technical and consultancy skills.

**_Specifically, you will_**
- Perform field works to collect soil, groundwater, and vapour samples relevant to contaminated land assessments;
- Assist in project planning and deliverables;
- Interpret lab and field data, perform analysis, draw conclusions and make recommendations;
- Prepare technical reports;
- Communicate with clients and suppliers;
- Utilise project management software to monitor project timelines and budgets; and
- Provide support for contaminated land audits.

**The Person**
- 1 - 2 years of locally gained contaminated land consulting experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant earth science, civil or environmental engineering discipline;
- Good organisational skills;
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills;
- Excellent attention to detail particularly for data logging, data interpretation and preparation of reports;
- Excellent oral and written communication and ability to relate to colleagues and clients;
- Ability to work within a team;
- A commitment to quality standards and workplace safety standards;
- Driver’s license (preferably manual)
- Australian permanent resident
