The Role Overview

This is a challenging and varied role that involves managing and delivering environmental projects. As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you'll be responsible for technical report writing, project management, and client communication. You will also mentor junior staff to ensure quality standards are met and support a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety documentation and project plans to meet high safety and environmental standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and data analysis to evaluate project requirements and manage risks effectively.
  • Lead independent fieldwork on contaminated land projects, including soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Create comprehensive reports such as site inspection reports and remediation action plans.
  • Manage project logistics, budgets, and client relationships while coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Mentor junior staff in understanding safety and quality standards, providing guidance and support in their work.
  • Engage with industry professionals, stay updated on developments, and participate in relevant events.

Requirements and Qualifications

We're seeking an experienced professional with the following qualifications and skills:

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in environmental consulting, preferably in contaminated land projects.
  • Strong technical skills in fieldwork, data management, and report writing.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory health and safety standards.
  • An asbestos assessor license is highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management and client communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A current driver's license and flexibility for occasional travel within Australia or overseas, as required.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum
