About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant to lead our NSW team of environmental scientists and ecologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small team of environmental scientists and ecologists, providing mentoring and guidance to junior members.
  • Support our Technical Lead and contribute to broader environmental investigations and impact assessments.
  • Lead terrestrial and riparian ecological field investigations, report preparation, and biodiversity assessments.
  • Provide technical input on Environmental Impact Assessments under NSW and Commonwealth Environmental Legislation.
  • Manage own projects, including signing off on reports produced by junior team members.
  • Liaise with clients across NSW and nationally, planning and undertaking business development.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior or Principal level Environmental Consultant based in or near Parramatta, NSW.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science and/or Ecology are essential.
  • BAM accreditation is highly desirable but not essential; eligibility and willingness to obtain certification are preferred.
  • Sound experience with Sydney Basin ecology and ecological survey in vegetation communities of NSW.
  • At least 8 years' experience in environmental impact assessments & approvals within a consulting environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of the NSW Environmental Planning & Assessment Act & related legislation.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills.
  • Project management and budgeting skills.
