Defence Joint Transition Authority (JTA) Transition Coaching and Support (TCS) offers a broad range of programs and services to help Commanders, Australian Defence Force members and their families manage the military way of life. TCS supports Defence families' self-reliance and increases the capacity of the wider community to support the needs of Defence families.

Australian Defence Force (ADF) TCS provides administrative support to all permanent ADF members separating from the military or transferring to the reserve force.

**About You and the Role**:
You have a well-developed, or the ability to quickly acquire, an understanding of data management and reporting processes. Reporting into the Team Leader you will be responsible for consolidation and integration of feedback and data collected through a variety of data sources of the ADF Transition Coaching and Support Directorate.
The Data team is responsible for the collection and analysis of data on transition outcomes for former ADF members. The Data Team are responsible for a number of reporting requirements to the Executive Team using various data reporting tools.
This work is integral to the evaluation and improvement of transition support for our Australian Defence Force Members and their families.

**_Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:_**
- Consolidate and analyse data and information, and contribute to the preparation of written submissions, briefs, inquiry outcomes, corporate reports, minutes and other correspondence for Defence and external stakeholders.
- Undertake statistical analyses and contribute to the preparation of technical reports and data dashboards.
- Prioritise and progress work to meet business objectives, recommend solutions for issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes and seek advice and guidance on more complex issues.
- Be accountable for accurate completion of work within time critical deadlines to support the delivery of procedural, operational, administrative, and business support activities across Defence.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot reports and dashboards in Power Bi to provide insights and meet reporting requirements.
- Conduct data analytics checks to ensure data is accurate and reliable.
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.
- Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, Defence personnel and team members.

**To succeed in the role, you will need**:

- Australian Citizen with a current Baseline Security Clearance or able to receive.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- specifically Excel and Word
- Exceptional levels of attention to detail
- Power BI experience
- Experience in research, data analysis or reporting
- Capable of working with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders
- Highly organised and proven ability working to tight deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Effective writing and presentation skills
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality
