**About the role**
As the Supplier Performance and Assurance Specialist, you will oversee supplier performance and governance within the Property Assessing and Repair Department. You'll work closely with the Property and Niche Claims Operations teams to ensure adherence to processes and standards. Your influence will drive performance objectives related to cost, quality, and supplier management, contributing to the successful delivery of RACQ's goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to established standards and processes.
- Provide expert guidance on governance and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Support Property Assessing and Repair functions by ensuring effective implementation of processes and procedures.
- Drive improvements in cost, quality, and supplier management to exceed member expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaborative success.
- Conduct audits, generate detailed reports, and analyse data to inform decision-making.
**About you**
In this role, you'll be pivotal in ensuring our suppliers meet and exceed the high standards expected by our members, while supporting our broader objectives. You will be a proactive professional with a passion for supplier performance management and a desire to excel in a collaborative environment.
- A university degree or TAFE qualification in Procurement, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field is advantageous.
- Alternatively, strong qualifications in Building Trade, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related trade are also suitable.
**Experience**:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in supplier performance management, assessing, insurance claims or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Solid understanding of financial and commercial processes, with strong commercial acumen.
- Experience in quantifying loss and understanding repair practices and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail, capable of conducting audits and generating accurate reports.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a knack for navigating complex situations.
- Effective time, task, and priority management skills, capable of managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a professional approach to handling difficult clients.
