About the Role

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the operational management of the Responsible Gambling Program in Victoria and will co-ordinate the program activities and initiatives to ensure timely delivery to meet contractual obligations. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintain strong networks, coordinating the delivery of key relevant activities. Proven ability to contribute to meaningful public health projects and communication activities that engage the community to build an awareness and understanding of key issues. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing data collection and reporting, monitoring and record keeping.
The Coordinator will ensure that culturally appropriate gambling harm support services are delivered to clients and communities. SSI Program Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations of the services including supervision of staff, have oversight of tailored counselling support to clients and lead the development of a stakeholder engagement strategy to engage with key networks in the gambling, mental health, family violence and migrant services spaces, as well as community leaders to extensively promote the Statewide Multicultural Service.

**Key Responsibilities not limited to**:

- Develop partnerships with key stakeholders including those within CALD communities for the prevention or management of harmful gambling practices as well as promoting the help of support services.
- Ensure the delivery of the program objectives as set by the funding body.
- Lead the administration of the Community Support Fund to provide small funding amounts to community groups to deliver community information/education activities about gambling harm.
- Provide additional support as required across the team’s other prevention programs.
- Development of program guidelines, data collection and reporting, establish processes and related documents to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the program.
- Prepare reports and financial statements and maintain records pertaining to program activities.
- Extensively promote the Statewide Multicultural Service
- Drive the development of a stakeholder engagement strategy: engage with key networks in the gambling, mental health, family violence and migrant services spaces, as well as community leaders.
- To establish a culturally appropriate gambling harm support program in Victoria - convene a reference group for the purpose of implementing and providing insight and expertise into the project delivery.

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience as a Program Coordinator in a similar sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Social Work, or a related field or associate
- Computer Literacy consistent with the expectations for a Program Coordinator
- Demonstrated experience leading a team within the social work or Gambling intervention spaces.
- Program coordination, financial management and leading to contractual obligations.
- Advanced written communication and report writing capability.
- Ability to travel between sites and working locations.
- Demonstrated leadership and program coordination skills.
- Ability to negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, clients, and the funding body.
- Strong capability to manage the time, resources, and working priorities of self and reporting team.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and experience in working with clients from diverse backgrounds in an empathetic and culturally competent manner Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
