**The organization**:
The organization is a leading private operator of correctional centres and healthcare services in Australia. The aim of the client is to provide quality primary healthcare services that meet the diverse needs of people in their care to a standard equivalent to what can be accessed in the community. **The role**:
The AOD Program Facilitator has a primary focus on the health and wellbeing of people who have entered custody with a history of AOD use.

You will be working within a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, in which you will contribute to the screening, assessment, and intervention of AOD concerns for people in custody.

This role has a particular focus on harm minimisation and facilitates programs and services that support and promote awareness of harm reduction strategies. Through group facilitation, the aim to increase the self-efficacy of prisoners engaged in the service, through the development of effective coping strategies and relapse prevention planning.

**Key duties**:

- Provide high quality engagement, assessment and treatment
- Facilitate AOD harm reduction and release preparation programs to increase substance use awareness, harm minimisation and relapse prevention strategies.
- Prepare and complete case notes and effectively, efficiently, and accurately manage data entry into identified systems.
- Undertake screenings and assessments as required, gathering information on substance abuse history, mental health, risk to determine suitability for AOD health programs.

**You will have**:

- Undergraduate qualifications in business, sports administration, health or social sciences relevant to community programs management.
- Demonstrated successful leadership of a large-scale community program.
- Proven experience of evidence-informed practice in program management, design, and development.
- Experience understanding diverse communities across Australia and the importance of place-based approaches.
- Stakeholder management and engagement skills.
