**About the Company**
APCO (Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation) is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable packaging practices. They drive industry-wide efforts with governments and partners to reduce the environmental impact of packaging materials throughout their lifecycle with a focus on a circular economy.
**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly organised, self-motivated and personable Project Coordinator with a passion for sustainability, packaging and/or circular economy to join the government partnerships team, a small team that has a huge impact on driving sustainable packaging within Australia.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating activities that drive effective interactions between APCO and government stakeholders. Utilising technology, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation and efficiencies with a willingness to learn and adapt to multiple projects and timelines.

**What you’ll be doing**:
- Dive into the world of government relations, developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders
- Break down silos and foster collaboration across various teams as you coordinate activities with both internal and external partners across a spectrum of exciting projects
- Be the voice that resonates progress, ensuring that project updates and their impact are communicated effectively both internally and externally
- Fuel your passion for research as you provide insights that progress and inform projects
- Draft compelling responses in the face of proposed policies, strategies, and information requests from governments
- Manage projects with precision using Asana or other cutting-edge project management tools
**You’re experience and attributes**
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and software, ideally within Salesforce, Canva, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both as an active team member and independently
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Understanding of government processes and policy-making
- Tertiary degree in environment, sustainability or management
