About Us

Working within the Finance Office, the Travel Program within Murdoch University is currently undergoing a transformation with a view of streamlining existing policies and processes. The University utilises contemporary travel workflow technology to ensure an efficient, agile, and sustainable operating model.

The Role

The successful applicant will play a critical role in ensuring all travel processes within Murdoch University is efficient and effective. Supporting the Senior Travel Supervisor, you will manage first level business travel support enquiries that arise through the day-to-day activities of the University. Further, you will be responsible for:

- Maintain expertise in the use of travel systems and provide appropriate training to staff/students at a user level with a critical focus on equipping stakeholders to use the self-service booking technology.
- Support workflow approval and online booking tool technology.
- Ensure online training materials are available and updated for the use of the University community as required and in conjunction with the Travel Management Company.
- Log travel booking requests within the Travel Management System via the Travel Management Company as requested by users unable to self-service.
- Manage and resolve travel related internal ticket service requests.
- Provide staff relocation assistance including flights, removalist, and insurance logistics and facilitation.
- Ensure the utilisation of airline credits on hold to minimise financial losses by the University.
- Assist with the acquittal of the travel credit card.

What you’ll bring to this role
- Relevant degree or qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office, University software programs, with the capability and willingness to learn new packages.
- High organisational, time, and work management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders amongst the University.
