Gramerci is now leading the search for a newly created and crucial commercially focused role. Our client are a leading provider of management and construction solutions for clients in the energy, water, mining, oil, and gas sectors.

The organization now has a network of offices in QLD, WA and SA with a workforce of 200 employees.

This Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations, with a primary focus on quality systems, subcontractor claims, and collaboration with the estimating team.

This opportunity is varied and will encompass procurement strategy, vendor management, contract administration, coast analysis, risk management, collaboration, compliance and claims management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- “Own” the subcontractor engagement process, in accordance with internal procedures
- Develop Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages to support estimating and project delivery.
- Perform Bid Analysis and make recommendations to award subcontracts/supply packages, based on company metrics.
- Proactively identify opportunities to negotiate more favorable terms/rates.
- Support Project Managers and Engineers to administer subcontracts and supply agreements on a day-to-day basis.

**Required skills and experience**:

- Approximately five years in a similar role in the construction industry
- A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
- The ability to effectively lead others.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced skills in Excel and Word
- Effective negotiation skills
- Strong analytical ability
- A demonstrated understanding of legal and compliance in relation to procurement operations
