Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.
As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing project procurement personnel in all operations for a project. You will participate with the project management team in defining and developing the scope of work, and in preparing and coordinating procurement plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate with the project team on a large project in defining and developing the scope of Procurement work, and in preparing and coordinating Procurement plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets
- Contribute Procurement input to the preparation and/or modifications of the project's prime contract
- Prepare and/or direct preparation of commercial terms and conditions for use on all project purchase documents, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated
- Develop, coordinate, and make Procurement presentations to project and/or Customer personnel
- Prepare or direct preparation of the project Procurement procedures in conjunction with global business unit and Corporate functional management; contribute to the project procedures; monitor the Procurement team's implementation of the project procedures; revise procedures and secure approvals as necessary
Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
- Global experience in project procurement management i.e., purchasing, expediting, supplier quality, materials management, logistics, and field procurement operations
- Experience and thorough understanding of Procurement operations at both office and at jobsite locations
