**About the role**

We have a rare opportunity for a passionate and community-focussed professional to join our team as a Foundation Project Coordinator. This is a highly rewarding role within our Sustainability division, supporting the end-to-end coordination and delivery of RACQ’s Foundation programs and community events. Reporting to the Foundation Lead, you will coordinate and plan meaningful and purpose-led activities across our great state.

The RACQ Foundation was established after the Brisbane Floods in 2011 and has distributed more than $12 million to assist more than 350 Queensland community groups affected by natural disaster and drought. The Community Assistance Program provides practical support to communities and farmers to recover from drought, flood, and other natural disasters.

In 2023, RACQ Foundation will expand to support disaster resilience projects with Queensland most ‘at risk’ regional and indigenous communities, to strengthen the capability to respond to future stresses such as fire, floods, and climate change. These long-term community projects are designed to equip communities to self-lead, collectively, and will focus on growing resources, knowledge, and investment, at the local level.

As a Foundation Project coordinator your key responsibilities will include:

- The end-to-end planning and execution of projects within the RACQ Foundation Community Assistance Program and other Foundation-centric events
- Travel and lead project on-ground, including delivery of tasks and volunteer schedules
- Work with suppliers and source quotes for equipment and trades to deliver program
- Developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external service providers, business partners, regional and rural communities to maximise project delivery outcomes and foundation awareness
- Prepare and compile documentation including briefs, critical path, implementation plans, schedules, and itineraries.

**About you**

This role will suit someone philanthropic in personality, someone who has a true passion and dedication to help communities in need. The success of the foundation thrives on those who advocate with us and for us. This role has a travel requirement, which are generally scheduled times during the year, and can require stints of up to two weeks. This will suit you if you thrive on exploring new places including regional and rural towns across Queensland. From this, as you will be meeting people from all walks of life, you will have an adaptable communication style and strong relationship building skills. Further to this, you will ideally have:

- At least 3-5 years event coordinator or planning experience, ideally for multi-day events such as festivals, roadshows, not-for-profit programs, and volunteer activities
- A reasonable level of physical fitness, as this role could include lifting, non-skilled labour, and driving foundation vehicles
- Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to organise multiple staff and volunteers
- The ability to prioritise workloads, follow through on tasks and meet deadlines to effect smoothly coordinated and delivered events.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
