The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.
- Full time / part time or casual positions
- Level 1 - 5 + penalties + overtime

About the role

This fast paced and interesting role offers you the opportunity to utilise your experience and contribute positively to the safety and security of all personnel. As a Security Officer you will be responsible for providing customer service of the highest quality through your proactive, professional and sound approach. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Observe activities associated with asset protection
- Monitor CCTV footage and radio communication systems
- Provide first aid and liaise with Police & Emergency Response Services
- Review camera footage and write reports
- Conduct foot patrols throughout the premises

Skills & experience
- Certificate II in Security Operations and security licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Open driver's license
- Dedication, reliability and a commitment to security
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level computer literacy skills
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision and within a team environment
- Australian Government Security Clearance
