This position description outlines the general duties of a Security Officer, which can be performed across various sectors and roles. It serves as a guide rather than an exhaustive list of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering training programs for MSS employees and contractors on healthcare-specific protocols;
- Ensuring all security officers adhere to MSS Security and customer requirements;
- Liaising with management and clients to investigate incidents, injuries, or other events at site;
- Assisting management with resolving issues on site;
- Conducting regular site visits to ensure Site Operating Procedures are up-to-date and maintained;
- Effectively managing radio communications systems;
- Providing guidance and advice on risk and performance management issues;
- Verifying that all security officers are properly uniformed and licensed;
- Promoting excellent customer service through courteous assistance to client enquiries;
- Maintaining awareness and adherence to company policies and procedures regarding Health, Safety, and Environment.
Requirements
- Identifying employee training needs;
- Providing constructive feedback and recognition;
- Addressing and resolving employee concerns;
- Offering coaching and professional development;
- Fostering a positive employee relations environment where staff are engaged and motivated;
- Serving as a role model by demonstrating positive leadership to field personnel;
- Responding promptly to site emergencies, incidents, and accidents;
- Completing daily shift reports.
Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000, depending on experience.
