This is a newly created role to support the ANZx software engineering teams as they build cloud based, highly engaging customer propositions.

What will your day look like

Support our software engineering teams in the delivery of reusable platforms and patterns to build our new banking platform. Provide control guidance and risk management support by identifying, articulating and communicating risks and issues.

Partner with architects, engineers and platform product owners in the identification, assessment and management of risks and issues on our core platforms / customer enablement platforms
Develop a strong understanding of the teams needs and priorities to ensure risk and compliance is built in up front
Facilitate effective governance of key risk elements across ANZx to empower teams to self-check and remediate
Be a trusted partner on the transformation journey building strong relationships within tech teams and beyond to deliver quality risk outcomes
Embed delivery of controls, operational risk awareness, escalate and record risk information as needed
Embed compliance, obligations and regulatory requirements into business products
Risk and Controls Assessment - ensure consistent documentation of risk information across ANZ Plus for both delivery and introduced risk
Reporting - enhance risk reporting and ensuring material decisions are captured

We're reimaging banking and challenging legacy thinking, using the latest cloud platforms and data management technology. This requires an innovative approach to tech risk and security

Experience working with modern Software Engineering teams in an agile, fast paced environment
Familiarity with cloud concepts and services GCP or AWS will be advantageous
Expertise in risk management, assurance or controls framework - we can help you learn this if you show us you love it
Understanding of Technology Industry standards including CPS 234, PCI-DSS, NIST
Domain experience in banking, financial service, telco, utilities or anywhere with complex tech risk management needs is welcome
Ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
The ability to build and foster strong working relationships throughout the organisation engaging with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to emerging market trends and optimise the way we manage risk and assurance
A track record and passion for driving the efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement of company policies, standards and practices
