The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust is responsible for Australia's oldest scientific institute, three iconic botanic gardens and one of the nation's most significant public parks. The Trust incorporates the Australian Institute of Botanical Science, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah and The Domain.

**About the role**

Our busy, collaborative and creative Events & Venues team are seeking a highly experienced Activation Manager to plan, curate and produce memorable experiences, events and productions across the Botanic Gardens and Domain that support the Trust’s signature events program and NSW Hallmark Events calendar, ensuring positive customer experiences and strategic engagement and revenue targets are met.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced producer and major events professional to join this iconic portfolio and highly regarded team.

**About You**

You will have a creative flair and proven experience with major outdoor events requiring creative vision, venue site management and overseeing the management of crowds and traffic and involving a range of external agencies.

This role is pivotal in effectively supporting the Activations and Events Producer and Head of Events and Venues in leading the creative vision for the Calyx horticultural exhibits, the Gardens signature events program and implementing comprehensive event management plans, and strategies to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.

**Essential Requirements**
- Planning, producing and executing varying event styles ranging from 500 to 25,000 capacity.
- Ability to work after hours during holiday periods and on weekends including on New Year’s Eve, as required.
- Current Australian Drivers’ License.
