**About the role**

As their new finance officer, you will work in a high-performing and cohesive finance team and execute the end-to-end accounts payable/receivable function. In addition, you will undertake key management accounting tasks as part of the month-end process and provide financial support and expertise to other functions in the finance team and directors of the business.

**Duties**

Along with being responsible for accounts payable/receivable, you will be provided with significant development opportunities in the area of management accounting. Being a pivotal member of the finance team, your scope of responsibility will include the following:

- Accounts payable, executing the accounts payable function across multiple accounts payable ledgers
- Accounts receivable, daily reconciliation, including producing invoices/statements
- Be responsible for month-end management accounting processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, profit and loss reconciliations
- Cost investigation and analysis. Take a key role in reviewing cost categories for variance analysis to budget and forecasts
- Completing trading account bank reconciliations for 5 companies
- Be a key contributor to the year-end statutory financial statements audit process and working with the audit team to execute the annual review

**Skills & Experience**
- You will be **degree qualified in accounting** along with willing to progress your development with professional studies.
- You have a desire to play a key role in a high-performing finance team and aspire to gain exposure across a wide range of accounting functions developing your career as a finance officer
- You will have a high level of attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to deliver high standard of work within required deadlines
- Previous experience with Xero & Agentbox will be beneficial
- You will have intermediate or advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.
