This position is responsible for providing general administration support and contributing to the strategic emergency & disaster management team in times of a disaster.

You will successfully
- Ensure data is entered into various databases as required
- Ensure reports are generated and provided as requested
- Provide general administration tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain accurate correspondence, documentation and presentations are prepared as requested.
- Keep files up to date and easily retrievable when required, and archived as required.
- Undertake a range of general office administration to ensure the smooth running of the Team and function
- Process reimbursement requests and invoices for payment are checked, authorised and coded.
- Ensure data is entered into financials system ensuring payments are made on time
- Reports run on database to prevent double ups and fraud
- Work closely with THQ Finance & SAMIS departments to ensure all data, checking & reporting is done at scheduled times to ensure payment of recovery assistance grants.
- Work alongside Assessors, at times follow up phone calls to Community Members to clarify information.

You will have
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
- An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
- Demonstrated relevant administration experience, knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrated skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising task, working independently when required as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Relevant business qualification such as Cert IV or Diploma in Business Administration is desirable.
- All staff must have an up to date police check
- Prior experience in a social program/community services environment would be highly regarded

Location: this is a flexible remote or work from home role, with office space available in Redfern

Full time or casual - 2-5 days per week availability
