**About the Company**:
A leading metal recycling company who play a crucial role in reducing the environmental impact of metal waste. They provide local governments and businesses throughout Victoria the opportunity to recycle metal waste and help keep Victoria clean and green They are on the lookout for a HR Manager to join their growing business.

**About the Role**:
As the HR & Payroll Manager, you will be overseeing the human resources and payroll functions. Your role will be critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our workforce, from talent acquisition and employee engagement to payroll processing and compliance.

**Duties**:

- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, and tax compliance.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company values and legal requirements.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for all staff members.
- Coordinate and conduct training programs (including inductions) to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain HRIS systems to streamline HR and payroll processes.
- Collaborate with management on strategic HR planning and workforce development.
- Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive company culture.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide regular reports to management.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a Senior HR role, with expertise in payroll management.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in the metal recycling/waste management, manufacturing, mining, building or similar industry is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and payroll systems (MYOB preferred).
