**Overview**

The Assessment Officer is the first point of contact for the Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner (HCSCC) in providing advice, support and information in response to complaints and enquiries under the Health and Community Services Complaints Act 2004 (the Act). The Assessment Officer will also contribute to the facilitation and resolution of complaints by conducting thorough assessments and preliminary inquiries with complaint parties. When appropriate, the Assessment Officer assists in referring matters to external agencies.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**
- DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)

**Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category C (mínimal patient contact)**
