QIC are now seeking a Head of Performance and Reward to join the People and Culture team.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Executive Director - People and Culture, you will work in a key leadership role within the P&C leadership team. Accountable for strategic delivery and leadership to the HRRC, Board and QIC business alongside the ED - P&C, your accountabilities of this role span the full breadth of Performance & Reward across domestic and international locations.

Responsible for the development of the QIC Remuneration and Reward strategic framework in consultation with your team and key stakeholders, you will provide leadership of the Performance and Reward function. You will ensure buy in from the Executive Leaders and the Board, working as a specialist advisor and partner to the business, providing strategic and technical advice on key risks, gaps and future opportunities.

You will lead the management of Global Benefits schemes across Australia, US, UK and Asia, including the management of external partnerships, with a key focus on the US.

About you

To be successful in this critical role at QIC, you will have significant experience leading a Performance and Reward function within the financial services industry. You will have a demonstrated background working at Board and Committee level, consulting with Executive Leaders within the organisation.

Degree qualified, you will have significant remuneration & benefits knowledge and experience with a focus on the Australian and US market, including legislative requirements around Global Remuneration, Reward & Incentive Schemes.

It is critical that you demonstrate proven experience researching and conceptualising complex remuneration issues, analysing options and developing reports and recommendations for management consideration.

Strategic in your approach, you will also be able to provide technical guidance when required on designing and implementing equitable, market-based and cost-effective remuneration, benefits and reward practices.

You will be a simplifier, proactive, strategic and tenacious. You will role-model key leadership behaviours to build a high-performance culture through effective engagement. It will be essential that your high-level communication skills enable you to effectively build and nurture strong interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
