**The opportunity**:
Reporting into the Managing Director, we are seeking a Manager - Sales and Business Growth to join the team.

As a senior leader, this position will be an integral part of the business to drive and grow market across existing and new clients. This will be coupled with a heavy focus on planning the strategic sales direction of the business, as well as executing and monitoring the sales activity plan.

Additionally, you will have a heavy focus on driving market awareness into new sectors, with the primary focus on promoting the businesses recognised areas of expertise, which includes,
**Diesel and Gas Engine component reconditioning.**

You will also drive collaboration with a range of stakeholders across the business, including, workshop management, customer coordinators and finance as well as a range of external suppliers.

**The key responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain close customer relationships with key customers - a relationship akin to a ‘working partnership’ built on trust, transparency, and honesty.
- Be technically competent within **engine**s** and/ or heavy machinery** to secure confidence with the customers, promoting commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate with the company’s subsidiary business, within the power generation, to assist strategic and operational objectives and the metrics of the Strategic Plan.
- Develop quarterly Sales Activity Plans designed to achieve and/or exceed budgetary revenue forecasts.
- Report sales revenue at weekly management meetings; monthly sales meetings and quarterly sales forecast and review meetings.
- Monitor sales performance against budget, sales KPI’s and continuously review sales forecasts.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and market trends affecting key and emerging clients.
- Lead the negotiation of customer and relevant supplier agreements, including renewal of existing agreements.
- Regularly promote the company with News Releases to social media and business networks such as LinkedIn.
- Identify relevant Trade Shows and exhibitions where the business may benefit from visiting to identify new products, agencies and building strategic industry relationships.
- 15+ years’ experience in senior sales / business development within the **engine reconditioning**, engine rebuilds** and/ or heavy machinery sectors.**:

- A determination and focus on winning new business, whilst also exploring new opportunities nationally within heavy machinery engine / component reconditioning**.**:

- Proven capability to build and maintain effective business relationships with leadership teams within existing and emerging clients.
- Ability to have technical conversation with new and existing clients, regarding heavy machinery and/ or component reconditioning to drive confidence and the promotion of services.
- Evidence in developing, implementing, and driving sales, tendering and forecasting processes.
- An aptitude for identifying market trends and associated future opportunities
- Intrinsic capability to work across several business verticals to maximise business opportunities and grow the business pipeline.
- Experience with utilising social media platforms to promote the business, capturing key markets.
- An interest an appreciation for heavy machinery, with a display of passion towards the technology.
