Our Head Office is based on the Central Coast, New South Wales with additional depots located in Melbourne, Brisbane, Townsville, Perth, and Hobart. We have been operating for 30 years and employ over 240 people

**Description**:
The Role

Starting salary of $75,000 depending on skills and experience
- Preparation and timely delivery of weekly & fortnightly payroll, including PAYG tax, Superannuation contributions, leave and leave loading and Workers Compensation;
- Preparation and reporting (both monthly & annually) of:

- Employer obligations (i.e. Payroll tax, Workers Compensation & Superannuation)
- Leave liability balances
- Managing all payroll enquiries in a prompt, professional, confidential and courteous manner.
- Ownership over the payroll process & systems
- Complying with all EBA’s, relevant awards and legislation ensuring timely implementation of any annual award changes.
- Lead and manage annual workers compensation renewal process.
- Liaising with external agencies such as payroll companies, ATO and Government departments.
- Internally you will liaise with staff, managers and regional offices
- Ensuring that Ad-hoc financial and operational reporting is completed
- Confidentiality is of the upmost importance in this trusted role
- There are also some minor accounting and administration components to the role. Full training will be provided.

**Skills and Experiences**:

- At least 3 years’ experience as a Payroll Officer, working hands on with Payroll systems
- Knowledge of relevant awards and agreements and the interpretation is paramount
- Highly developed MS Excel and MS Word skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest integrity levels and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
- Strong numeracy skills is a must as is the ability to investigate and rectify payroll issues
- Knowledge of relevant awards and agreements and the interpretation is paramount
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- You love working as team member;
- Experience using Jobpac would be desirable;
