**Your New Role - Business Development Manager**
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be able to utilize all contacts and facilities to ensure your clients are well catered for and all their service expectations are exceeded
We are actively seeking a full-time, dedicated, energetic, and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team.
- Analysing and identifying target clients using the following demographics: annual turnover, Industry segment, key trade lanes, proven EMS connectivity, growth mode, senior management relationships.
- Provide market feedback and evidence of competitor pricing to the Pricing Manager to ensure ongoing competitive pricing.
- Provide market feedback to the State Sales Manager to develop offering to stay ahead of the market.
- Ensure agreed levels of new client visits per week occur.
- Partner with local service providers to provide accurate and timely information that ensures process efficiencies
- Deliver service with high reliability and consistency, making it easier for the client to do business with the company
- Increment and maximized new business opportunity to their full potential by gaining all trade lanes and extending 3PL services.
- Develop the agreed product mix between Ocean, Air and Other.
- Ensure that the Health, Safety and Environment Management System is effectively implemented at their Business.
**What you will need to succeed**:
- At least 3+ years' minimum experience in a Business Development role
- Global freight forwarding & selling experience: 2 years’ experience preferred.
- Comfortable taking charge of a situation and of making decisions independently
- Expresses opinions and ideas in a self-assured manner
- Prefers adopting a structured approach to tasks
- Focuses on achieving tasks within deadlines
- Comfortable receiving feedback; does not respond sensitively to criticism.
- Inquisitive and keen to understand issues and problems
- Enjoys analysing numerical and statistical information
- Able to critically analyses information for potential limitations
- Able to balances speed and caution when making decisions
