ibis Adelaide opened in mid-2014, making a significant wave in the market as an unique economy product with strong aesthetic appeal and an understanding of the needs of the guest. Caring and efficient, the ibis brand ensures the highest level of service of its category. With more than 1000 ibis hotels in 64 countries globally, it is a high profile and growing brand. Our hotel has consistently been above market, proving ourselves a triple threat: product, location and people.
Pullman Adelaide rebranded in October 2017, having opened the doors originally in 2010. Pullman is now Australia’s largest 5 star hotel brand in Australia, with a focus on contemporary upscale offerings to our global nomads.
**Job Description** What is the role all about?**
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Implement a personal sales call plan that is adaptable to business needs and flexible with market trends
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with current customer base
- Identify and convert sales leads into new business opportunities
- Conduct Market Research to source new corporate rooms business
- Maintain effective communication with the Director of Sales and Marketing, providing market intelligence on a regular basis and an understanding of competitor strengths, weaknesses and ongoing sales activities
- Participate and represent Accor at key industry/trade events
- Accurately record call plan activities, contacts, rate structure and other pertinent client information in the Sales database
**Qualifications** Who will be successful?**
You will have a proven track record of achievement in sales, preferably in the hospitality and/or tourism industry, and will impress us with your demonstrated ability to transform strong rapport with clients into solid business. Your sales flair will be complemented by strong time-management, and administrative skills. Five star hotel experience will be a significant advantage, as will knowledge of the Adelaide market.
Must be able to take complex client and vendor concepts and articulate them to an audience of varying perception levels.
- Operational hotel experience is a bonus
- Strong written and verbal presentation/communication skills
- Self-starter who can own ongoing customer success of both large and small clients.
- Ability to report and share client’s status on a timely/pre-defined interval.
- Should be flexible to work their way around business demands.
