**Your role**

At Allens, our teams are also specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges. Our Integrated Legal Solutions (ILS) Team's purpose is to deliver market leading and cost-effective data management, analysis and review solutions in support of Allens’ disputes, investigations and transaction matters and to clients directly.

You'll be based in our Sydney or Melbourne office, managing and coordinating our national pool of 90+ casual Paralegals who work within the ILS Team and provide assistance to all Practice Groups. Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the Head of Paralegal & Business Services to implement strategies to support the broader Paralegal pool framework.
- Leading or co-leading strategic initiatives.
- Supervising and allocating daily paralegal work requests in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Liaising with partners, lawyers and others to allocate paralegals to teams and matters.
- Ensuring paralegals are engaged in their roles, completing interesting work, and enjoying their time at the firm.
- Developing the profile of the Paralegal Coordinator and the Paralegal Pool through business development endeavours, presentations, and internal communications.
- Maintaining adequate paralegal staffing levels and assisting the Head of Paralegal & Business Services and our Early Careers team with recruitment.
- Maintaining adequate records of paralegal time recording and any performance issues.
- Ensuring that any agreed national standards and procedures are implemented in relation to the paralegals employed by the firm.

**About you**

You will have:

- Experience working as a paralegal and leading teams in a law firm environment
- Excellent staff supervision skills.
- A passion for process improvement and creating positive career experiences for your team and others.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Legal technology experience, especially in litigation eDiscovery or corporate due diligence is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with people at all levels of an organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others
