- **Salary $139,788 - $161,663 + super**
NSW Department of Education has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to join our team in a Insurance Risk & Claims Management capacity.
This role will see you develop business plans, coordinate resources and lead the strategic direction of the functional area. The role designs, implements and evaluates innovative solutions that meet business/functional objectives, continuous improvement targets and informs strategic planning. The role leads the Insurance, Risk & Claims team within the Shared Services, Business Services Directorate.
**Key Accountabilities;**
- Overseeing the processing of all school insurance claims ensuring they are being processed in a timely manner
- Managing workflow throughout the team
- Approving on all major claims going through to the insurer
- Develop and implement operational plans that model exemplary people management practices and resource utilisation, resulting in a high-performance culture.
- Manage and evaluate team performance and facilitate ongoing professional development.
- Foster and sustain strategic partnerships across Directorate teams, schools, the wider Education Cluster, and relevant external agencies.

**You will possess;**
- Strong leadership skills
- Strength in building fostering relationships
- Previous experience in Insurance highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills
- Detail orientated.
- Experience/exposure to Power BI advantageous
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
