An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an established P&C professional to join our Business Partnering team
About the Role
Our People & Culture team are currently seeking a P&C Manager to become a trusted advisor to our Transport and Corporate divisions. As a member of both the Senior P&C team and the Transport Management team, you will contribute to and implement business strategy, particularly in the areas of OD, transition of teams and individuals, leadership and general advice on HR policy and process
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Can be based in Collins Street - Melbourne or Welshpool - Perth
Reporting Line: General Manager - People & Culture
Key Responsibilities
- Partner and support Executive General Managers across the Transport and Corporate Divisions
- Keep managers across workload and anticipated peaks and troughs to assist with effective resource utilisation
- Design and implement initiatives to support the delivery of the P&C/BU Strategy
- Understand key business priorities as part of transformation to support local BU decision making
- Provide expert advice and coaching on people related matters to drive individual and organisational improvement
- Coordinate the talent identification process and succession discussions identifying capability gaps
- Identify local business issues/trends and designing appropriate solutions in consultation with P&C colleagues where appropriate
- Implement annual people calendar programs at Business Unit level
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong People & Culture generalist background, with previous experience within a services/operations based company. In addition to the above, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience as an established P&C professional ideally in a senior/leadership role
- Prior experience within the Transport / Construction industries is advantageous
- A thorough understanding of industry practice in terms of sourcing strategies, recruitment, promotion, conditions of employment and HR policies
- High level organisation and prioritisation skills in order to meet deadlines
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Possess communication skills of the highest level in order to positively influence customers, clients, management and staff
