Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic medical practitioners to join our team as a **General Medical Registrar (BPT3)** in the **Basic Physician Trainee** programfor the 2024 Clinical Year (commencing **February 2024**).

**Details of Department**

The Central North West Consortium offers comprehensive support across all years of the PREP program with all rotations accredited by the RACP. We have a long tradition of providing excellent physician training to trainees within the consortium. A training program to support trainees preparing for the written and clinical RACP examinations has been implemented across all sites within the consortium. In-house written exam lectures are held September to January each year culminating with a 170 question mock written exam.

**Details of positions available and position requirements**

Successful applicants may rotate through a variety of general and speciality medical units at Austin Health and Bendigo Health to provide a broad range of experiences and learning opportunities.

Please note that a rural term is an expected component of all Central North West Consortium BPT3 contracts.

**To be successful in this role you must**:

- ** Be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a medical practitioner**:

- ** Have a minimum of two years of training accredited with the RACP**
