**About the directorate**

The Corporate Services Directorate ensures the OCG is credible, responsive and accountable. We focus on providing high quality customer service to the OCG and our broader stakeholders.

The People and Culture Team works within the OCG to implement and manage HR policies and procedures that deliver innovative solutions and promote a high-performance culture. The team supports key people initiatives such as recruitment & selection, workforce planning, change management, performance management, talent & succession strategies, case management, health & wellbeing, employee engagement and leadership & capability development.

**About the role**

The People and Culture Advisor provides consistent and professional advice and service on a range of human resource management services to support the delivery of the Office of the Children’s Guardian objectives and overall strategic plan.

We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to:

- Provide client focused HR services and advice in a range of human resource areas including resource management, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, equity and diversity, recruitment, work health and safety, HR legislation and policy, HR project management and other generalist human resource activities to support the delivery of strategic plans.
- Identify and advise on people related issues, exercising sound judgement, empathy and discretion, when dealing with sensitive and complex human resource management cases to deliver positive and harmonious workforce solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders through consultation and collaboration, responsive advice, and service to support business outcomes.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking an HR professional with:

- SAP organisational management and HR systems experience preferred
- effective communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships quickly
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Cert IV in Training and Assessment or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience is essential.
