Your Opportunity
As the Faculty Support Officer for the Community Services, Health & Nursing Faculty, you will:

- Provide efficient and effective confidential administrative support to the Faculty
- Assist the Faculty to provide a comprehensive student experience and assist with the facilitation of a strong student community.

This position reports to the Faculty Support Coordinator
This is a Temporary Full Time opportunity, to 25/03/2025 with possible extension unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at the Southport Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional, efficient and confidential administrative support to the Director of Faculty.
- Manage the preparation and flow of correspondence and other documentation for the Director of Faculty by prioritising correspondence, initiating action, composing responses to general correspondence and invitations and monitoring urgent matters.
- Research, prepare, coordinate and disseminate information and documentation for meetings and diary appointments, educational and audit requirements.
- Appropriate liaise with internal and external stakeholders on issues arising from the activities of the Faculty.
- Develop, initiate, coordinate and maintain effective procedures and systems to ensure the provision of effective support services to the Faculty.
- Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
- Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
- Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
- Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- High level organisational skills that will be used to demonstrate skill in the preparation of and/or responses to correspondence, educational documents, minutes of meetings, reports and diary appointments.
- Demonstrated high standard in provision of prompt and professional service to clients including work processing, correspondence tracking and other office technology.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise tact, discretion, initiative and sound judgement and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as ability to function effectively with a minimum of supervision.
- Displays the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
