**Why This Role Matters**:
The Project Officer will support and coordinate data collection activities on a multi-disciplinary ARC Linkage Project funded study examining how older drivers adapt to new vehicles with Automated Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The work is led by Professor Mari Velonaki, Director of the Creative Robotics Lab within the Faculty of Art & Design and Professor Kaarin Anstey within the School of Psychology, Faculty of Science.

This position will involve participant recruitment, screening interviews, set up and management of data collection and research administration.

**Accountabilities**:

- Assist with identifying recruitment sources, coordinating advertising, participant recruitment, managing consent, scheduling appointments, and maintaining study communications with participants, including technical support.
- With training, conduct structured interviews and standardised cognitive testing with older adults, assist with equipment installation and handling, manage collection and storage of sensitive data, and adhere to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
- Coordinate project activities, including meetings, minute taking, managing assigned actions and follow-ups and project status reporting, and work closely with the study team of Chief Investigators, Research Fellows, and technical staff.
- Adhere to take part in relevant training on NHMRC research ethics guidelines, National Privacy Principles, Good Clinical Practice, and Responsible research conduct including data handling.

**Skills and Experience**:
To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
- Honours level degree in Psychology, behavioural sciences or equivalent, with experience or familiarity with behavioural data collection methods and human research ethics (essential), and a demonstrated interest in ageing and/or driving research (desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives, and documentation.
