**The role**

This position supports Gippsland Water’s economic and business development functions, including identifying, facilitating and coordinating new business enquiries and opportunities.

From an external perspective, the role engages proactively with regional economic development counterparts to enhance business community relationships and support regional investment and development.

**What you’ll bring**
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, economics, management, project management or similar (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Demonstrated understanding of the commercial, investment and business landscape and operational insight into planning, developing and activating new opportunities for economic growth
- Ability to facilitate cross-organisational projects to achieve consensus and unity of purpose
- Experience managing strategic projects including analysing and reporting on economic activities and elopement trends
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on stakeholder management and engagement including a proven track record in developing industry and business community networks
