Our client, a Federal Agency, is looking for an APS5 Level - Performance & Talent Officer to join their team. The APS5 Level - Performance & Talent Officer is is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position.

The position will be required to undertake activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to agency's objectives

You will be working full time hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm in Geelong or Richmond with a competitive pay rate of $55.25 + Super per hour.

As an APS5 Level - Performance & Talent Officer you will be:

- Undertaking financial administration, facilitating the payment of invoices, receipt of goods and reconciliation of financial data and preparing periodic reports, incorporating the completion of end of month journal processing.
- Working in consultation with local leaders to build staff capability through coaching and training.
- Preparing correspondence, reports and briefing papers and assisting in the preparation of technical documents.
- Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance, and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
- Assisting with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Assisting with project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

Key skills required for the role:

- Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed. decision-making and planning
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
