Our Commercial team is focused on maximising revenue growth to achieve Known’s ambitious aspirations to scale, with particular focus on new customer acquisition and go-to-market strategy, as well as enhancing existing customer engagement.

**The Role**

Reporting into our Director of Commercial, the Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, operational implementation and ongoing support of our Sales and Customer Success functions. This role will play a crucial part in optimising sales strategies, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring sound financial decision making across the business.

You’ll be working with a team of supportive, intelligent and curious individuals, passionate about technology and who like working through a diversity of problems to solve. You will be a collaborative, energetic individual who consistently displays a positive attitude with a good understanding of business processes.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Sales Strategy Development**:Assisting in crafting a sales strategy aligned with company objectives, supporting our Commercial Director in implementing sales strategies that appropriately reflect our goals, and collaborating with Marketing on lead generation programs.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**: Interpreting sales data to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights to the sales team and senior management.

**Sales Forecasting**: Implementing and managing sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes to align with other company planning processes.

**CRM Product Ownership**: Acting as an empowered Salesforce and Pardot Champion and primary contact for our outsourced team at ProQuest, authorised to make decisions on projects on behalf of the company and prioritising work to ensure budgets are maintained.

**Salesforce Administration**: Administration and governance of our Salesforce and Pardot platforms, including the administration of our Customer Success Plan (CSP) and ProQuest Portal.

**Process Optimisation**: Streamlining and improving sales processes to reduce inefficiencies and ensure smooth operations. This can include everything from lead management processes to proposal development workflows and investments in enabling technologies in support of sales organisation productivity (such as Salesforce add ons).

**Coaching**: Supporting new and existing sales team members in onboarding and coaching.

**Collaboration**: Working closely with marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure alignment across departments. This can involve refining lead qualification processes and ensuring accurate product pricing and discounting procedures.

**Territory and Quota Management**:Defining sales territories and setting sales quotas based on analyses of market potential.

**Incentive and Compensation Planning**:Designing compensation plans that motivate and reward the sales team appropriately for their performance.

**Pipeline Management**: Monitoring the sales pipeline, ensuring that leads and opportunities are being tracked correctly and moved through the sales cycle efficiently.

**Commercial Contract Management**: Contract development, negotiation as well as contract lifecycle management and supporting proposal/tender responses.

**Skills and Experience**
- A successful history in sales operations or sales enablement, particularly within a rapid-paced, high-growth tech business, and a proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
- Experience working in a similar SMS/CPaaS environment would be very highly regarded.
- A comprehensive understanding of sales procedures and tools, including CRM platforms (Salesforce) and sales enablement softwares.
- A track record of successfully devising plans to bolster Sales and Customer Success Professionals through lead generation programs, sales incentive compensation programs and ongoing coaching.
- Exceptional analytical and data-driven problem-solving mindset to drive well-informed decision-making, and optimise sales strategies effectively.
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Robust organisational and time management aptitudes, the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Expertise in Sales and Marketing, understanding principles and processes to execute data-infused sales strategies effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills across competing priorities, to achieve beneficial outcomes and win/win solutions.
