Validation Engineering Manager

We need a customer-focused Manager who can problem solve, enjoys challenges, innovation and is results-oriented. We are looking for a hands-on Manager who thinks outside the box.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage a team of Validation Engineers and the validation activities to ensure manufacturing and support systems are validated to the appropriate level of quality and compliance. This is an ideal opportunity for you to demonstrate your knowledge in the validation of sterile, non-sterile and solid dose validation activities (equipment, cleaning and process validations).

**The role encompasses**:

- People management providing direction, feedback, mentoring and coaching
- Determining, managing and scheduling activities in the Validation Master Plan, establishing project schedules, resourcing and budgets ensuring standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed
- Writing and reviewing URS, risk assessments, protocols and reports for validation activities
- Executing Project Validation activities, as required
- Interpreting plans, drawings and specifications to achieve Engineering and Production requirements - participating in the construction and design of sterile rooms
- Ensuring the validation lifecycle is adequately managed ensuring conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards
- Providing technical support to Production, Industrial Development and R&D
- Accountability for team metrics
- Proposing improvements to optimise efficiency

Core Competencies to be successful in this role
- Understanding of GMP (APVMA) and industry guidelines
- Knowledge of fundamentals of engineering, validation, microbiology, process control, calibration and statistics
- Understanding of processes associated with the manufacture, testing and distribution of pharmaceuticals
- Project management skills
- Experience in computerized systems, equipment, process and cleaning validation.

A current driver’s license is essential as occasional travel between the Virbac Australia sites and contractor visits might be required to complete validation activities.

A tertiary qualification in Engineering is essential, and a minimum of 5 years experience in pharmaceuticals is desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
