**About the Company**

This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6 month contract paying $660 - $760 p/d + super. This role is located in Penrith/Hybrid.

**About the Role**

We are currently seeking to appoint a Facilities Manager with a leading NSW Government agency.

**Key**
**accountabilities include**:

- The purpose of the role is to play a ‘hands-on’ role to manage the buildings buildings and leased facilities, ensuring their integrity and condition, and the provision of well-maintained facilities and environments for staff, tenants and visitors. The role encompasses building and facilities management and leads required building maintenance and improvement projects. The role also acts as a central co-ordination point to ensure the varying expectations of stakeholders are met.
- Set up and maintain contracts, policies, procedures and performance criteria for best-practice building services and FM.
- Drive effective and efficient short and long-term delivery of above (incl. overseeing outsourced providers, and possibly internal staff).
- Engage regularly with service providers & building users to co-ordinate activities and ensure varying expectations are met.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Operations and Facilities Management or a related field, and/or significant technical experience across a range of hard services (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Civil, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in leading facilities, contract and developing plans related to buildings, utilities and technological equipment selection, management and maintenance.
- Comprehensive understanding of best practice in facilities management along with up to date knowledge of NSW Government initiatives, policies, systems, procedures, relevant legislation, and NSW Treasury requirements.
- Demonstrated strategic and lateral thinking, agile problem-solving skills, and communication skills, and a strong interest in delivering optimal outcomes.
