**Continuing position for a self-motivated and intuitive Research Development Officer to commence asap.**
Working under limited direction, the Research Development Officer works as part of the Research Development team to support researchers and research income generation activities and provides high quality research grant support services, for the development of funding proposals and competitive grant pipelines.
Key responsibilities include Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences grant support and researcher development support; provision of research funding advisory services, providing pre-award grant checking and validation services, coordinating ranking/review activities for Faculty cohorts; contributing to training and development programs relating to funding opportunities and supporting Faculty grant performance reporting.
**To be successful you will need**:
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice to staff on research grant administration issues, including interpreting and advising on complex documentation for pre and post award grants matters.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing client centric research support services in a complex research focused environment including working collaboratively with researchers and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and analysing information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations for effective client outcomes and the implementation of research services projects.
- Ability to show initiative, instigate and undertake tasks with minimum supervision and work effectively both independently and as a team member.
Detailed knowledge of the University sector, funding of research and of related structures and processes in a research
- oriented field would be advantageous.
