The Records and Information Manager is responsible for managing a broad range of administration and management support tasks relevant to records management in accordance with the National Archives of Australia standards and requirements.

The Records and Information Manager standardises and enhances recordkeeping practices, policies and procedures for paper and electronic records in compliance with national recordkeeping obligations. They facilitate the retrieval of files for operational requirements and Freedom of Information requests, and ensure sufficiency of search functions for records. They are responsible for all aspects of managing the administration of the Electronic Document and Records Management system (EDRMS).

The duties of this position include:
1. Developing and managing work plans, and monitoring the Records Management team performance against Mint and National Archives of Australia standards and requirements.
2. Standardising and enhancing recordkeeping practices, policies and procedures for both paper and electronic records in compliance with national recordkeeping obligations.
3. Planning, developing and implementing an archival program.
4. Compiling and submitting Harradine Reports and Check-Up PLUS Reports.
5. Facilitating the retrieval of files for operational requirements and Freedom of Information requests, and ensuring sufficiency of search functions for records.
6. Informing and advising staff of their recordkeeping responsibilities as Australian Public Servants.
7. Coordinating the administration of the EDRMS including:
a) supervising and administering the EDRMS, and assisting with business processes;
b) analysing, configuring and developing enhancements for the system
c) managing system security settings and user access
d) developing and conducting system training and user support services.
8. Maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
9. Maintaining currency of records keeping knowledge to support the Mint’s records management.

**Security clearance**
This position requires a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
