The DPS Leading Hand supports the DPS Supervisor with the daily planning of DPS activities and supervision of the DPS team, including providing on-the-job training.

**The successful applicant is required to work full-time and on-site.**

The duties of this position include:
1. Assisting the DPS Supervisor to manage the daily operational activities of the DPS team, including die polishing, laser frosting, 3D engraving, PVD hard coating and chrome plating. Using the ERP system to manage workflow.
2. Operating, monitoring and maintaining machines including ACSYS laser machines and PVD Coating machines.
3. Maintaining relevant paper and electronic records in accordance with the Mint’s record management policy.
4. Using 3D rendering software in collaboration with ACSYS software to 3D engrave and laser frost dies for coin production.
5. Providing supervision of the DPS team, including mentoring and on-the-job training.
6. Identifying issues and working with the DPS supervisor to resolve them, keeping relevant stakeholders informed.
7. Identifying and managing operational or safety risks within area of responsibility.
8. Monitoring the quality of products and processes, and taking remedial action as required.

**Security clearance**
This position requires a BASELINE security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
