Orchard Manager

Brunel has partnered with a key Australian organisation with a depth of experience in owning, developing and operating Australian farmland, agriculture infrastructure and other assets. They are currently developing a number of macadamia orchards in the **Fitzroy region in QLD** and are looking for an experienced Orchard Manager to manage their orchard operations 60kms west of Rockhampton.

**About this role**
This role will suit someone with a proven understanding of macadamia orchard requirements and will be responsible for:

- Maximise yields through systematic planning, optimising crop performance, operational efficiency and completion of tasks.
- Oversee farm maintenance and operational activities
- Lead, develop, train and manage employees
- Contribute to the development and improvements of farming systems, safety and environmental processes
- Oversee farm maintenance and operational activities
- Lead, develop and manage employees
- Manage maintain and develop records for maintenance, chemical spraying, fertilising, irrigating, payroll and safety

**About you**
- Formal training in horticulture or demonstrated macadamia experience essential
- Certificate in Leadership preferred
- Experience managing teams including employees, labour hire and contractors
- Advanced experience and knowledge of land improvement techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Safety training will be highly regarded
