About the Business Unit
The Adult Parole Board of Victoria (the Board) is an independent statutory authority, established under the Corrections Act 1986. The Board provides a framework that enables offenders to undertake a step by-step re-entry into the community. When deciding whether to release an offender on parole, the Board considers the interests of the community, the rights of the victim, the intentions of the sentencing authority and the needs of the offender. In all its decision-making, the Board's paramount consideration is community safety.
About the Role
The role of a Meeting Coordinator
- Prepare and present matters for the consideration of the Adult Parole Board (the Board);
- Assist the Board when it is considering matters;
- Action decisions and requests arising from Board meetings.

About You
- Sound knowledge of the Corrections Act 1986, Sentencing Act 1991, and the rules and regulations covering the operations of the Board would be desirable
- An appropriate qualification and/or experience is desirable.
- Gives frank and honest feedback/advice. Listens when ideas are challenged, seeks to understand the nature of criticism and respond constructively; displays confidence and conviction when communicating an opinion.
- Accept changed priorities without undue discomfort. Responds quickly to changes. Comfortable working in collaboration with teams outside of own organisation.
