For our conferencing & events guests, we have 6 modern function rooms available, accommodating up to 500 delegates.**

**The opportunity**:
In your new role you will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and join the sales team to produce memorable events from conception through to completion across numerous venues. We are excited to hear from someone who has similar experience and is excited by the opportunity for career development and growth.

Your success in this job will be largely dependent on your capacity for collaboration as well as your strong organisational, administrational and communication abilities to pull things together and update the departments of the client’s requirements, and positively kick start their event/s.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Manage the planning of events including full event details, menu selection, creation of the internal banquet event orders and billing charges.
- Creating client event orders using Delphi and conducting weekly event order meetings
- Assisting the sales team with site inspections, familiarisations, tradeshows and photo shoots.
- Working closely with our kitchen team to develop suitable & profitable menu and drinks offerings for each event/function.
- Ensuring all events, menus, packages and pricing are recorded correctly in the CRM system (Delphi Sales Force).
- Processing payments and ensuring accurate and detailed data entry.
- On function days - welcoming clients/brides, ensuring they have everything they need for their day and actioning any additional requests.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Previous experience in a similar role and Experience with Delphi Sales Force and or Opera PMS is highly regarded.
- A broad understanding of the hospitality industry and venues, Hotel’s and Resorts preferred
- A meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and professional interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative a contributor who enjoys working in a team environment.
- A strong understanding of Hotel/Resort operations will enable you to build rapport easily. with both the internal team as well as clients and external stakeholders.
- A solution focused attitude, uses initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer literacy using Microsoft packages: outlook, powerpoint, word, excel and publisher.
- Current RSA or a willingness to obtain one.
- The flexibility and availability to meet clients for their events this may include evenings, early mornings or week-ends as requested.
- Suitable Australian work rights.
