**The Opportunity**

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) is conducting a bulk recruitment round for Procurement Reporting Adviser roles at the APS 6 and APS 5 level to fill current and future vacancies. A merit pool will be established for ongoing and non-ongoing positions available over the next 18 months.

APS6 Procurement Reporting Advisers will be able to:

- Co-ordinate delivery of the PM&C Portfolio’s legislative reporting requirements within tight timeframes, including the Senate Order on Entity Contracts, Indigenous Procurement Policy reporting and AusTender reporting
- Prepare a range of complex written materials for Senior Executive Staff including reports, briefs, and responses to Questions on Notice
- Design data gathering methods and perform complex data analysis
- Work in the Finance One Procure to Pay system, assists clients and undertakes user acceptance testing
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead on the development of plans and objectives for project work and contribute to the overall strategic planning objectives for the Section
- Work with independence, under limited direction
- Make sound decisions using good judgement and problem solving to deliver quality outcomes
- Propose and drive change to achieve innovation and business improvement
- Effectively prioritise and manage workload to deliver tasks in a timely manner
- Represent the agency at cross-agency meetings and Forums
- Supervise, mentor and develop staff.

APS5 Procurement Reporting Advisers will be able to:

- Undertake research in preparation of various reports and investigate instances of non-compliance in accordance with internal policy
- Contribute to co-ordinating the delivery of the PM&C Portfolio’s legislative reporting requirements within tight timeframes, including the Senate Order on Entity Contracts, Indigenous Procurement Policy reporting and AusTender reporting
- Assist in the preparation of briefing material and reports with attention to detail, including but not limited to Senate Estimates Briefing and Questions on Notice
- Conduct quality assurance and audits of contract data
- Work in the Finance One Procure to Pay system, assists clients and undertakes user acceptance testing
- Determine and report on compliance
- Provide administrative support for the management of PM&C’s stationery contract under the Whole of Government arrangement
- Contribute to the development of internal procurement policies, guidance and templates
- Develop plans and objectives for project work and contribute to the overall strategic planning objectives for the Section
- Assist with and draft the preparation of procedural manuals and guidelines and provide training to staff
- Undertake projects and tasks under mínimal guidance
- Effectively prioritise and manage workload.

APS 6 Procurement Reporting Adviser
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in reporting, compliance and/or governance using Financial Management Systems
- Demonstrate capability in complex data analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate the ability to present data and information in a range of formats for different audiences, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Provide a high-level of stakeholder engagement and client service
- Make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, under limited guidance
- Take responsibility for supervising, mentoring and managing performance of junior staff
- Have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Tertiary / Vocational qualification in Government Procurement e.g. a Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting is desirable
- Knowledge of the Public Governance Performance and Accountability Act and/or the Commonwealth Procurement Framework would be an advantage.

APS 5 Procurement Reporting Adviser
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in reporting, compliance and/or governance using Financial Management Systems
- Have experience in using Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate the ability to present data and information in different formats including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
