Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Chandler Macleod on a contract basis. As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for performing various activities related to procurement exercises, including RFT and deed development, tender design, assessment, business allocation, probity, quality assurance, contracting, and debriefing stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Manage government standing offer panels and ensure compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure delivery of effective and efficient outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of procurement training to internal customers.
Requirements
  • Experience in government procurement, including the establishment and management of government standing offer panels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to develop a range of procurement documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Good negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver outcomes under pressure and to tight timeframes and quality standards.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
