The team

Join a dynamic, innovative information and records team with a strong digital recordkeeping focus. You will be contributing to a digital-first workplace, supporting information management digitisation processes and data quality assurance as part of compliance and governance for the team. The Information & Records Management team is one of four teams in the Information & Knowledge Resource Centre (IKRC) including Library & Research, Intelligence Support, and Knowledge Management contributing to the Intelligence & International (I&I) group. The Intelligence and International group drives our intelligence-led regulatory approach, using data-informed insights and intelligence.

The role
- Processing the incoming mail, including x-ray, manual sorting, stakeholder engagement and digitisation.
- Providing support for ASIC's recordkeeping systems including user support, responding to requests for information, quality data management, and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Assisting with stakeholder engagement, updating training guides, and supporting training to ensure information and records management compliance and legislative requirements are met.
- Working with the Information and Records Management team to perform a broad range of records management activities including monitoring, analysing and reporting activities.
- Providing support for broader Intelligence and International projects and process implementations.

About you
- Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Records and/or Archives Management, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience is desirable.
- Understanding of information and records management compliance and legislative requirements in a government agency, e.g., Archives Act 1983, Privacy Act, metadata, storage standards, and evidence handling is desirable.
- Experience in following procedures and defined processes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in understanding emerging technologies and contemporary information and records management practices.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently to meet deadlines in accordance with mandatory standards.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems with tailored solutions.
- Willingness to learn.
