Sell a ‘product’ you are passionate about. Save the Children impacts the lives of children in Australia, the Pacific and beyond on a daily basis. But we can’t do it alone; the engagement of our commercial partners is critical to creating positive change in the lives of children across the world. Blend your experience in the corporate sector with a highly regarded international NGO to market our work to corporate stakeholders. Driven by success you will turn a ‘no’ in to a ‘maybe’ and a ‘maybe’ in to a ‘yes’. We want more than good communications skills; your patience, tenacity and focus on long lasting partnerships will create impact and drive change.
**Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.**
We’re ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children’s rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there’s a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.
**Where you come in**:
In this a full-time, permanent position, based in any capital city in Australia, you will engage with corporates to develop large-scale, multi-year partnerships and funding streams that address shared goals and contribute to the protection and development of children in Australia and around the world. You will leverage your extensive corporate network and collaborate with internal teams to identify and engage with new companies to support Save the Children’s programmatic priorities.
You will be part of our Supporter Engagement team and report to our Head of Partnerships.
- You will make an impact by: _
- Develop new and innovative partnerships that position Save the Children as the partner of choice for Australian corporates.
- Proactively generate leads and build networks in order to seek, identify, and support opportunities to secure long-term strategic partnerships.
- Produce and deliver high quality, creative bespoke presentations and proposals, ensuring a tailored approach for each prospect. This includes delivering in-person presentations to senior corporate executives.
- Ensure best-in-class partner management practices are followed, with focus on account growth, stewardship and retention, including strong reporting and promotion of joint successes.
- Identify and secure opportunities to build Save the Children’s visibility with the corporate sector, including at events and on social media.
**Does this sound like you?**
You have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade, motivate, network and negotiate effectively, both internally and externally. This, combined with your ability to think creatively, your highly proactive approach to researching and initiating new business opportunities, and your ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload, means you will be able to create large, multi-year partnerships that meet both corporate and Save the Children’s objectives. You’re an established leader who is able to work alongside senior executives, and feels comfortable positioning Save the Children as the partner of choice with senior leaders of Australia’s largest companies.
- This role requires: _
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in building 7-figure partnerships in consulting or corporate fundraising contexts.
- Experience working with senior corporate executives within the Australian corporate sector.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
**Working at Save the Children is more than just a job.**
It’s the feeling of knowing that your work is contributing to making the world a better place for children and working with others who feel the same. In addition to a connection to social causes, you will have access to:
- Individual learning plans to assist in your career development
- Internal employment and development opportunities
- Flexible working, including the ability to work from home (WFH)
- Child and pet friendly work environment
- Support for workplace wellness, including access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as well as internal networks to support our diverse workforce,
- Full salary packaging benefits (please use this link to see how much this benefit could mean to you)
- Additional annual leave options available
