Lead Group, a renowned business advisory firm based in Melbourne, is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to serve as Manager for its growing Business Services Division.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and develop a unique blend of taxation, management accounting, and professional services skills. As an Accountant Manager, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory documents for clients across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing high-quality financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, and payroll tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Expertly utilising a range of accounting software including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Providing tax planning and business advisory services to clients, involving analysis of financial and non-financial information to assist clients in monitoring performance.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and striving to further these relationships through quality product delivery.
  • Recognising potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm and its services to both clients and associates.
  • Managing team training and mentoring, with responsibilities to help grow the team's knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.
  • Coordinating with multi-jurisdiction teams and collaborating with other experts engaged in projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience within Business Services, with strong technical skills;
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar and completed CA/CPA qualifications;
  • A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Expertise using accounting software including APS, MYOB, and cloud-based tools e.g., Xero, QuickBooks.
  • Australian Citizenship or hold Permanent Residency status in Australia.
