A leading business advisory firm, renowned for delivering exceptional services to clients across Australia, is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to serve as Manager for its growing Business Services Division in Melbourne.

By joining Lead Group, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and develop a unique blend of taxation, management accounting, and professional services skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT or payroll tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Utilizing advanced accounting software including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks to provide expert financial services.
  • Providing tax planning and business advisory services to clients, including analyzing financial and non-financial information to assist clients in monitoring performance.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and striving to further these relationships through quality product delivery.
  • Identifying potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm's services to both clients and associates.
  • Managing team training and mentoring, with responsibilities to help grow the team's knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.
  • Collaborating with multi-jurisdiction teams and coordinating with other experts engaged in projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience within Business Services, with strong technical skills;
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar and completed CA/CPA qualifications;
  • A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Expertise using accounting software including APS, MYOB, and cloud-based tools e.g., Xero, QuickBooks;
  • Hold work rights, Australian Citizenship, or Permanent Residency status in Australia.
