The Cabinet and Parliamentary Services Team is looking for a Support Officer to join our team. We're looking for someone that can provide responsive and flexible administrative support across the team, and who is also motivated to help us improve our systems and processes.

The role will suit a team player who wants to contribute to a positive workplace environment and has an eye for detail. Reporting to the Manager, Cabinet and Parliamentary Services, you will be responsible for coordinating briefing materials, establishing and maintaining registers, and managing documents to assist in the preparation of briefing packs for the Departmental Executive and Minister. Additionally, you will provide support in various business and HR functions, including diary and meeting coordination, team reporting, and analysis.

Your role will also involve managing the intranet site for the Cabinet and Parliamentary Services Unit, which includes tasks such as electronic publishing, assisting in the development of content, updating templates and ensuring that the website is a valuable and informative resource for our internal clients..

In addition, your capacity to prioritise tasks, meet individual deadlines, and take personal accountability for precise deliverables will be essential. You are not hesitant to seek assistance when necessary to accomplish work objectives. Your remarkable interpersonal and written communication skills enable you to seamlessly collaborate within a team, approach work autonomously, and actively contribute to discussions, offering valuable insights and practical solutions to emerging issues.

The Cabinet and Parliamentary Services Unit assists the Minister for Health, Mental Health and Ambulance Services and Minister for Women and the Director-General of Queensland Health to perform executive government functions in relation to Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliament. As part of these functions, the Unit is responsible for a range of whole of government reporting requirements, and the preparation of briefing materials. In addition, the Unit coordinates wide-ranging actions relating to executive government functions ensuring that any emergent issues are managed effectively, and that all information provided is appropriate, consistent, accurate and timely.
